Limited has its main operating base and head office in Oamaru, with a
branch in Christchurch and agencies in Dunedin, Timaru, Ashburton and
Kurow. Strong operating links exist with transport companies
throughout New Zealand. The company owns and operates approximately twenty heavy trucks plus ancillary vehicles, plant and machinery, and is engaged in general cartage, line-haul and intercity freighting, town delivery, distribution, storage, rural cartage, gravel and aggregates supply and cartage, tip truck and contracting work. The company fleet is supplemented by owner operators in specific strategic areas, namely town delivery and Hiab truck hire. Specialist services include
building transportation, bulk lime cartage, chilled product cartage,

Waitaki Transport operates a substantial workshop and engineering
complex at Oamaru, engaging in maintenance and fabrication work for the
company's own fleet and outside clients, with emphasis on fleet
operators. Allied to the workshop is a Shell Truck Stop which
retails diesel and motor spirit. A specialist parts store with
agency and general lines complements the workshop service offered, as do
a mobile hydraulic hose repair service and a fully equipped services
vehicle for onsite servicing of customers plant and equipment. Allied to the building relocation division is the sale and distribution of new and second-hand buildings, including houses and commercial buildings. |
